Police FC striker Elijah Ani has called on his teammates to keep up the momentum after returning to winning ways against Gasogi United over the weekend. The law enforcers had been in unimpressive form recently, failing to win a single game in their previous three matches. They ended their winless streak in grand style with a 2-0 victory over Gasogi United at Kigali Pele Stadium on Saturday, December 27. We needed to come back to our winning ways and I am glad we did that against Gasogi, the Nigerian attacker told Times Sport in an interview We are still working on fixing everything and hopefully, we can keep the momentum and win more games. Ani, who finished as joint-top scorer of the 2023/24 season, has scored five league goals in 14 games this campaign. Saturday’s win moved Police FC up to third place on the league table with 23 points. Vincent Mashami’s side return to action on January 4 when they take on Rayon Sports in the last match of the first round.
