The junior wasps were using the game to gauge themselves ahead of next month’s Cecafa Youth Championships in Sudan. The team is under-going a two-week intensive training camp at Enden Koben football academy in Rhenanie Palatinat Province. The team’s next trial game is on Friday where they clash with Koblenz FC’s U-19 side. After the training camp, the junior wasps will return on Kigali before flying out to Sudan on August 2. Rwanda need to assemble a strong team after learning that the event will attract the likes of Nigeria. The two-time U-17 world champions were invited to spice up the event that will attract over ten countries. The competition will be staged in Khartoum and Juba with a possibility of a third host city in Kessala. The event has been sponsored by the Unity Government of Sudan to tune of US $400,000 (Rwf 22.6m). Ends
