The atmosphere was electric inside the BK Arena as thousands gathered at the venue for the Revv Up Xperience on Saturday, December 28. Nigerian musician Ruger headlined the event, delivering a mesmerizing performance that left the audience craving more. Fans erupted with excitement as Ruger took the stage, performing a number of his chart-topping hits, including Bounce, Girlfriend, and Toma Toma. His stage drew more entertainment as his live band who backup performance kept every reveler inside the arena engage. The arena transformed into a sea of lights and harmonies, with the audience singing along to every lyric, word for word, of the singer’s music. Ruger’s connection with the crowd was electric, creating an atmosphere that was nothing short of magical. He kept the concert concept to deliver a memorable experience for his audience. “It felt like we were part of the music, not just spectators. His energy, his voice, and the live music was an experience I’ll never forget. Ruger’s energy was contagious, and I did not want the night to end,” said Sandrine Uwase, a devoted attendee Ruger's dynamic stage presence and ability to connect with the crowd, highlighted by his generous act of giving one of his fans $1,000 to start a business, solidified his status as an African star, leaving a lasting impression on Kigali's music scene. Joining Ruger on the star-studded stage was fellow Nigerian artist Victony, whose unique sound and undeniable charisma reignited the crowd’s energy. Despite taking the stage a little after midnight, when many might have expected fatigue to set in, Victony’s magnetic performance kept the audience fully engaged. As soon as the first notes of his hit songs filled the air, the tired yet dedicated fans sprang back to life, singing along with passion and dancing to every beat. “It was late, and we were exhausted, but Victony’s music gave us a second wind. His voice, his vibe was impossible to stay still. Victony’s ability to connect with the audience, even at the hour when most concerts would be winding down, made his set one of the standout moments of the night,” said Jean-Claude Nshimiyimana. Rwanda’s own star, Bushali, captivated the audience with his trademark hyping performance while singing Bonane ft DJ Pius and Alyn Sano, seamlessly blending the spirit of end of year celebrations with his signature artistry on stage. Ross Kana followed with an unforgettable set that highlighted his distinct style. The night kicked off with Bruce The 1st, setting a high-energy tone for the evening. Adding to the dynamism of the night were top DJs, including DJ Inno, DJ Djannab, and the electrifying duo Higa and Rusam. The duo’s seamless blend of beats had the crowd dancing nonstop, while The Ruscombos added a fresh twist to the lineup.
