Kepler Basketball Club point guard Chad Bowie has signed a one-year contract extension which will see him stay with the team until the end of 2025. The 28-year-old American had an impressive 2024 season in Kepler’s colours, finishing as the team’s top scorer with 410 points. He recorded 62 steals and ranked third in three-point shooting, scoring 54 points from beyond the arc. Bowie joined Kepler during their inaugural season in Rwanda Basketball League’s top tier. His performances were instrumental in leading the team to the playoffs, although their campaign ended with a semifinal sweep by the Patriots. Before joining Kepler, Bowie played in the United States and Canada. In a previous interview, he told Times Sport that his decision to move to Rwanda was driven by a desire to expand his basketball experience, showcase his talent, and explore new environments. Kepler has been relatively busy in this transfer window. It signed point guard Olivier Turatsinze from Espoir and power forward Elie Kaje from APR.
