Last week ended Friday 17th July 2009, the Rwanda OTC Market (ROTCM) recorded a total turnover of Rwf 34,000 from 200 KCB shares traded in two transactions at the price of Rwf 170. This brings the total turnover to Rwf 10,083,000 from 61,300 shares traded since the bank introduced its shares on the Rwandan market four weeks ago. At the close of the session, KCB counter had no shares on offer and no buyers. On Thursday last week, on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) KCB shares traded between Ksh 22.75 (Rwf167) and Ksh 23.50 (Rwf173) to close at Ksh 22.75 (Rwf 167), the same price as Thursday’s closing price of Ksh 22.75 (Rwf 167). However the bond market was quiet as no transactions were recorded. At the close of the business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.
