Different celebrities in Rwanda have paid tribute to American rapper Takeoff who was killed in a shooting on Tuesday, November 1. Mike Kayihura, a 28 year old Rwandan RnB singer and song writer used his twitter account to pay tribute to the deceased saying “ RIP Takeoff, your sound moves on”. He also added that “ its a huge loss for the culture man, big big loss” Others like DJ Brianne, shared the deceased’s photo captioned with broken heart emojis as a sign of grievances on her instagram page. While comedian Taikun Ndahiro also took to his twitter account saying “I would like to extend my condolences to migos for the loss of their relative”. Takeoff , a member of the influential Atlanta based rap group “migos”, was shot dead in Houston,Texas yesterday. The Georgia rapper was well known for creating hits like 'Versace,' 'Bad and boujee' and many more alongside fellow rappers Quavo and Offset. The 28 year old victim was born on June 18,1994 in Georgia, United states of America. He was pronounced dead after being shot at the back of his head while at a party in Houston,Texas. He had gone to a bowling alley for a dice game in Houston, Texas with a few of his relatives at a party believed to have been a private one according to BBC news, entertainment and arts. Three people died as a result of the shooting ,Takeoff inclusive. He was shot in the back of his head. The shooting is believed to have been an organised attack leading to the death of Takeoff and two other victims. There is still an empty ground for suspects, according to TMZ.
