The Mamba Beach Volleyball Tournament is back for its second edition which is due from December 20-22. Organised by Mamba Volleyball Club in collaboration with the Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB), the annual beach volleyball event will bring together former volleyball players and first-division teams. This year’s edition will take place under the theme “For the Love of the Game.” ALSO READ: Munezero, Mukandayisenga win national Beach Volleyball tour Speaking to Times Sport, the secretary general Dieudonné Nizeyimana of Mamba beach volleyball tournament emphasized the event's commitment to showcasing volleyball's enduring values. “Our tournament has always existed, but last year, as we marked 15 years of Mamba Volleyball Club, a club that includes both former players and those who didn’t play professionally, we decided to expand,” Nizeyimana explained. “We added eight boys' and eight girls' professional teams, we are taking it even further by hosting matches at two venues to enhance competition and uphold the rules.” This year’s tournament will take place at two venues namely Green Park in Gahanga for the group-stage games and Mamba Club in Kimihurura which will host both the group-stage matches and the finals. The tournament was initially launched as a platform to celebrate and support the sport and has evolved into an inclusive event that bridges generations of players.
