Gorilla rugby club has been confirmed as Rwanda’s representative at this year’s Hima-Mak 10s tournament slated for November 3-4 in Kampala, Uganda.Like the annual tournament dictates, the national rugby federation chose Gorilla after the club’s heroics of winning this year’s national rugby championship.“According to the tournament history, it merges the best clubs in the region. Gorilla won this year’s national rugby championship so they will represent us,” the federation’s Secretary General Celestin Nzaramba said.Even with looming financial constraints in the federation, Nzaramba insists that the team will travel to Kampala during the course of the week. This year’s Hima-Mak 10s event is expected to attract six foreign clubs. According to Hima Cement, the tournament’s key sponsors, five Kenyan clubs and one Rwandan club are expected to be part of the two-day tournament whose budget is close to Shs 60m (Frw 20m).Ends
