Rwanda international Jojea Kwizera is among nine players who committed their future to US second tier league side Rhode Island FC on a one-year deal each after successful talks. Kwizera's contract with the Smithfield-based club expired on November 30 but, after successful negotiations, the club offered him a new deal which will see him stay until November 30, 2025. Kwizera, 24, was among standout performers for Rhode Island FC in the 2024 season. He played 27 games from which he scoring three goals and provided 5 assists. He joined Rhode Island FC on January 4, 2024 as a free agent from MLS side CF Montreal.
