Officers from the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and Uganda People Defence Forces (UPDF) on Friday, November 29, visited Kigali Genocide Memorial to pay their tributes to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The officers participating in a three-day Inter-Military Proximity Commanders’ Meeting also visited the he Campaign Against Genocide Museum at the Parliament Building. The third Inter-Military Proximity Commanders’ Meeting, which began on Thursday in Musanze District, seeks to address challenges impacting the communities along Rwanda-Uganda border. In attendance are the RDF Second and Fifth Infantry Division Commanders, the UPDF Second Infantry Division Commander and his delegation, as well as Defence Attachés from the two countries.
