Massamba and Miss JoJo rocked Copenhagen

COPENHAGEN - Rwandan singers, Massamba Intore and Miss Jojo, on July 1, performed to the Rwandan Diaspora in Denmark, and to friends of the Rwandan community in Copenhagen, in Denmark. The concert was to commemorate, Rwanda’s Independence Day, the 15th anniversary of Liberation, and closing the first phase of the “One Dollar Campaign” respectively. The three concerts were highly attended, and attracted dignitaries, including Rwandan Ambassador to Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland), Jacqueline Mukangira. In her opening remarks, Ambassador Mukangira said the government of Rwanda has successfully improved on her political, economical and social sectors. “The country faced enormous challenges. Because of its clear vision and great transparency, Rwanda is now leading as one of the most stable countries in the region, and on the African continent,” Amb. Mukangira said. She pointed out that the country’s economic plans and long term vision of development, make Rwandans work much harder to boost the nation’s economy to match with countries like Singapore and Malaysia. “The competition in the country’s economic sectors has created a great opening of our markets, attractive incentives for foreign investors, protecting investors’ investments and above all zero tolerance on corruption,” Amb. Mukangira said, adding, “This has yielded confidence to foreign investors to invest the country.” Ambassador Mukangira said that Rwanda has also introduced the spirit of unity and reconciliation through encouraging mass participation of people, be it in unity and reconciliation or Gacaca courts to mention a few, has given positive results in this social order.” “The gender issue is no longer an issue in Rwanda, because Rwanda is the leading country in the whole world.” The Ambassador showed gratitude to the musicians Massamba and Miss JoJo for their fabulous performance during the events.
