Rwanda head coach Frank Spittler has expressed his displeasure with how he was approached by his employers to negotiate a contract extension. The German coach is close to seeing off his current deal and negotiations for an extension are ongoing, as recently confirmed by Rwanda FA president Alphonse Munyantwari. He was, however, not impressed by the way his employers are handling the situation. They were giving me a proposal but it was not really a proposal so I didn’t really care about that. That’s the situation,” Spittler told journalists. ALSO READ: AFCON 2025 Qualification: Amavubi fall short despite stunning comeback against Nigeria He refused to comment on whether he would wish to extend the contract raising concerns about his future. “First, it should be from their side to show me if they really want me to stay and, with their proposal, they didn’t say something like that to me, that’s the situation,” he added. They finished the Group D qualifiers in third place, level on 8 points with Benin who stole the ticket to Morocco on goal difference. He coached 14 games from which Rwanda won six, drew four and lost four.
