Nigeria will be without Ola Aina, Stanley Nwabali and Ademola Lookman when they take on Rwanda in the last AFCON 2025 qualifying Group D game at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on November 18. The Super Eagles have already booked their ticket to the AFCON 2025 finals in Morocco, Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Benin in Abidjan saw them open a four-point gap at the top with just one game to play. They now have 11 points, followed by Benin with 7 points. Nigeria’s next opponent Rwanda sit third with 5 points while Libya lag behind at the bottom with 4 points. A win for Amavubi, though unlikely, coupled with a favourable result in the Libya vs Benin crunch decider could see them go through. Nigeria's right-back, Ola Aina has been recalled by his club Nottingham Forest and he has already left the camp for England. Nottingham Forest will face Arsenal on Saturday, November 23, and coach Nuno Espirito Santo needs him for early preparation ahead of their trip to Emirates Stadium where they will play Arsenal. For forward Ademola Lookman, he has not trained since the team arrived in Uyo on Friday as he took a knock in the 1-1 with Benin. Coach Eguavoen is expected to give some of his fringe players the chance to play as qualification has already been secured. The first leg between the two teams in Kigali ended 0-0. Rwanda goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari was the man of the match making 10 saves to keep his side in the game.
