Bank of Africa – Rwanda announced on November 15 the appointment of Betty Sayinzoga as the new Chairperson of its Board of Directors. Sayinzoga, who has been a board member since 2021, succeeds Emmanuel Ntaganda, who has successfully led the bank for the past five years of distinguished service as chairperson. Sayinzoga steps into a new role with experience in the banking industry drawing on years of in-depth knowledge and experience gained through various leadership roles. She has been instrumental in guiding Bank of Africa through significant growth and innovative initiatives. As the new chairperson, she will lead the board of directors in overseeing the bank’s strategic direction and governance and ensuring that the bank continues to thrive and fulfil its mission. She noted: “The foundation has been established, and Bank of Africa is now well-positioned for growth and poised to pursue an assertive market presence. I look forward to working with the management, board, and staff to make a meaningful impact on Rwanda’s financial sector.” “This will be achieved through the service the bank offers to its customers, introducing innovative approaches to engage our customers,” she added. Outgoing chairperson, Ntaganda, has served with distinction, leading the board through several transformative initiatives that strengthened the bank’s position in the Rwandan market. Under his guidance, Bank of Africa Rwanda has enhanced its customer experience, expanded its digital services, and maintained a strong commitment to community engagement. The bank’s management has extended appreciation to Ntaganda for his invaluable contributions, which have strengthened the institution’s ability to adapt to the evolving needs of its customers and community.
