Hoziana Gospel Choir, one of Kigali’s premier praise and worship choirs, will be coming back to the stage when annual Tugumane Worship Experience returns to the stage at ADEPR Nyarugenge from December 22-24. Organisers are bringing the event back after attendees requested its return. According to organisers, the second edition aims to continue the tradition of praise, worship, and spreading the gospel, inspired by the verse in Acts 3:19. Speaking to The New Times, choir president Lea Mukandangizi called on worshipers to show up at the worship event in big numbers, promising performances of new songs and collaborations with prominent gospel musicians. “The choir is rehearsing both new songs and people’s favorites from past albums,” Mukandangizi said. Founded in 1968, Hoziana Choir is one of the oldest gospel choirs in the country. The choir has spent over five decades spreading messages of faith through music. It has over the years captivated audiences in Rwanda and beyond with timeless classics like “Gitare,” “Yerusalemu,” and “Mugeni wa Yesu,” as well as recent gospel hits like “Dufite Ibihamya.” With a record collection of twelve audio albums and four visual recordings, Hoziana Choir continues to leave a lasting impact. Hoziana Choir first launched the annual worship experience in 2023 to reach more souls through gospel music. This year’s edition will feature some of the best gospel choirs and artistes, including Shalom Choir, Ntora Worship Team, and renowned vocalists Papy Clever and his wife, Dorcas, offering a worship experience that aims to inspire and renew. Entrance at the event is free of charge.
