Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS) dismissed 411 officers over corruption and misconduct, it said in a statement on Monday, November 11. The dismissed officers include one commissioner and 26 senior officers. They are accused of corruption and misconduct and other offences. The decision to dismiss them aligns with the principles of acceptable practices within the RCS, the correctional service said. The mass dismissal was approved by the Cabinet meeting of November 9, RCS said.
