Gabon’s head coach Wilfried Dongo has announced his provisional 18-man roster 11 days before the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Qualifiers tips off on November 22 at Dakar, Senegal. Gabon are pooled in Group C alongside Rwanda, Senegal and Cameroon. They will play the qualifiers opening game against Cameroon on November 22 before taking on hosts Senegal the following day. They will wrap up their qualifying campaign against Rwanda on November 24. A total of 12 countries began their journeys to qualify for the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket in February as Cairo hosted Group D as Groups B and E took place in Monastir, Tunisia. The remaining 8 teams that form Groups A and C will enter the action in the second window of the Qualifiers in Dakar, Senegal, in November. The teams are split into Groups A comprising South Sudan, DR Congo, Mali and Mozambique and C which consists of Rwanda, Senegal, Cameroon and Gabon.
