Rwanda international Rafael York and his Gefle IF team have been relegated to the Etan Norra which is the third tier league of Swedish football. The Stockholm-based club lost 3-0 to Sundsvall on Saturday, November 9, in match day 30 of the Superettan League and thus finished 15th out of the 16-team log with 32 points. York, 25, joined Gefle on January 13, 2023. He made 26 appearances for the club this season. He now looks destined to play Swedish third tier football next season should he not consider his future elsewhere. The former VFL Bochum, Sandvikens, AFC Eskilstuna, Kalmar FF star has two months left on his Gefle IF contract and could move out of the club when the Scandinavian transfer opens in December.
