A cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame on November 9 made several appointments in the President’s office, Rwanda Development Board (RDB), and the Rwanda Elders Advisory Forum, among others. Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) also got board members. According to the cabinet resolutions, former Prime Minister Pierre Damien Habumuremyi was appointed as a council member of the Rwanda Elders Advisory Forum. He was appointed alongside Amb Dieudonné Sebashongore who previously served as Rwanda’s envoy to Belgium, since 2020, and Amb. Zaina Nyiramatama, Rwanda’s former envoy to Morocco. In other appointments, Claudine Uwera was named Senior Strategic Advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister. Previously, Uwera served as the Minister of State in charge of Economic Planning in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning. Maëva Seka Haguma was appointed Deputy Principal Private Secretary in the Office of the President, and Michelle Umurungi was named Chief Investment Officer at RDB. She previously served as Deputy Managing Director at Norrsken. As regards Rwanda Broadcasting Agency’s Board of Directors, Israel Bimpe, the CEO of Irembo, was appointed Chairperson, with Viviane Mukakizima as Vice Chairperson. Other board members include Solange Ayanone, Michael Butera Mgasa, Kivu Ruhorahoza, David Toovey, and Anitha D. Umuhire.
