Tanzania put in an impressive performance scoring 32 goals from Issa Shaziri, Saidi Rajaab and Ally Musai. Kenya still top the handball charts with 9 points, followed by Tanzania with 7 points and Rwanda with 5 points. Uganda and Burundi complete the ranking in fourth and fifth positions. In netball, it was a practice session for the Kenyans as they trounced the home team 61-22. Millicent Busolo and Caroline Owino top scored for Kenya in what was clearly a one-sided affair. However, Rwanda’s netball coach Albert Buhake still commended his players for their spirited effort. “It (netball) is a new game in Rwanda so I think the players deserve some praise for their fighting spirit,” Buhake reckoned.
