Editor, Last week, was one of great pride as we watched 18 baby gorillas getting names. This is something that Rwandans have come to appreciate given that thousands attended the gorilla naming ceremony in Kinigi. With today’s climate change and uncertain weather predictions, conservation comes in handy if we are to save our planet from natural self-destruction. This is in terms of hurricanes, twisters, floods and droughts that persistently show up on earth. By conserving natural forests and habitats for animals, then climate changes will become less drastic. Protecting Mountain gorillas from extinction also means protecting and conserving their habitats-the forests. Kwita Izina and other conservation and environmental bodies are doing this in Rwanda and I am sure their efforts are highly appreciated by many. Kimihurura
