A day in the life of....Clare Effiong

Clare Effiong is the Director of Esther’s Aid, a charity initiative helping orphans to acquire life skills so that they can one day fend for themselves. Below, she shares her typical day with you: I wake up at 5a.m and say a prayer. I rush to the kitchen to prepare a cup of tea. I take tea as I read as well as check my mails. My breakfast normally comprises a toss of bread and fruits. I usually head to work about 9a.m. However, the first destination depends on the day’s agenda. I make sure that the primary school, bakery, tailoring department are operating as required. Based on the tasks that I try to accomplish by the end of the day, I some times miss lunch. When I happen to get the time, I have it at home about 1p.m. I work hard to ensure that I fulfill my day’s programme. By 6p.m, I am at home to prepare supper for myself.
