The Rwanda National Police is planning to set up the second motor vehicle inspection centre in the City of Kigali, in addition to the one based in Remera Sector in Gasabo District, The New Times has learnt. Police Spokesperson ACP Boniface Rutikanga confirmed that the new centre will be based in Ndera Sector. However, he did not provide details on the timeline for implementation. So, the Remera centre will remain so that [the City of Kigali] will be served by both centres, he said. Rwanda currently has five automobile inspection centers located in different parts of the country, including Remera in Kigali, Rwamagana District, Huye District, and Musanze District. The fifth is a mobile vehicle inspection lane.
