No one brings the best out of you than yourself

Meet a lady who takes responsibility for her health, one who concentrates on her self improvement, and is financially independent. She is ever running up and down to make ends meet. She is always ready to teach and pass her information to others especially fellow young women. Meet Jane Wahu Kagiri. At the age of 25, she is the Marketing Executive of a real estate company called Botique 10 which is a sister company to Red 5 in Rwanda. They deal with V.I.P accommodation. They pick their clients from the airport to their 4 bedroom and suit villas in Gisozi, and kagugu. Wahu believes in good customer care at all times. “I was happy to learn from The New Times of the governments plan on a customer care campaign due to start in July this year.” She said. She added that Rwanda will be a perfect place to live in East Africa once this issue is dealt with. At the age of 21 while in college she started bead work as a hobby not knowing that through a lot of hard work she would earn a living from crafts and bead work. Whether it is jewellery, crafts, paintings, anything artistic name it and she will deliver. She has a temporary shop at Carwash Executive gardens. With an energetic look, Wahu stated that success is about being aware of greatness and doing whatever it takes to get there. “It’s about looking your opponent in the eyes, knowing you’ve out-hustled, out-worked, and out-played them time and time again. And most of all, it’s about getting up and winning after you’ve fallen and no one else thinks you can.” She emphasized. It feels great to see the outcome of hard work. Having transacted business in all the Eastern Africa countries, she says that Rwanda has amused her the most. “Everybody in Rwanda is positive towards development. There is a sense of growth and renewed hope.” Wahu noted. Rwanda is the cleanest amongst them and a clean environment literally creates an atmosphere of freedom. This type of environment allows you to do the things you like instead of the things you have to do. Young uneducated women should learn from the Agaseke Promotion Project, a KCC initiative which sets up an income generating activity that lifts up the economically challenged or poverty stricken women in the urban centers of Rwanda. Wahu is more than willing to learn how to weave the basket and in exchange trade her beadwork knowledge to the unemployed women in the villages to empower them and make them economically independent. “Hard work is a self-willing thing. No one brings the best out of you better than yourself. Only you can ask yourself how much you want it. Only you can ask yourself how much it means to you. And only you can ask yourself if you’ll do whatever it takes.” She quoted a scholar. Hard working women of Rwanda must be willing to sacrifice. Sacrifice selfishness, laziness, and the will to lose. Their Hard work will never be mistaken, but only noticed. Hard work is about realizing what’s best for everyone, especially yourself each and every day of your life.
