Rwanda has been handed a tough group in the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub-regional qualifier B which will take place in Kenya from October 19-24. The tournament is part of the qualification journey for the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup due in India and Sri Lanka in March 2026. ALSO READ: Mahatlane names squad for ICC U19 WC Africa qualifier Rwanda found themselves in Group A alongside hosts Kenya, Seychelles, Gambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. Coach Lawrence Mahatlane's men will kick start their qualifiers against Gambia at the Gymkhana Club Ground on October 19 before facing Seychelles at the Ruaraka Sports Ground the next day. They will then battle Kenya on October 21and Mozambique the following day before closing their group stage with a game against Zimbabwe on October 23. The top two sides in the tournament will progress to the regional final qualifier, joining Namibia and Uganda who were exempted from competing in the pre-qualifier, having participated in the previous T20 World Cup. The two top teams will join four other teams from sub-regional qualifiers A and C for the final play off. The winner and runner up will qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
