WESTERN PROVINCE RUSIZI — Ecobank plans to open a new branch in Bugarama Sector, in Rusizi District in order to extend services nearer to the people. The Cyangugu bank’s branch Manager, Evariste Habiyaremye revealed this last Friday during a Customer Forum function organised by the bank at Ten to Ten Paradise Hotel in Kamembe. Urging residents to use the bank to transact business, Habiyaremye affirmed the bank’s desire to become the leading financial services provider with a focus on satisfying customer demands. At the same meeting, the bank’s Managing Director, Daniel Sackey said the bank welcomes views from their clients with respect to its overall performance in the area in order to correct those services that are poorly rendered. He also encouraged the current customers to always seek advice on how to get loans from the bank and how to profitably utilise the credit facilities extended to them. “In order to make our bank more stronger and for it to continue delivering good services to you in this region, I call upon you as its potential clients who are here in this forum to always share information with us on any queries you may have because that’s when the bank will know what is going on well and what it still lacks in various ways,” Sackey said. Some customers who attended the ceremony complained over delays in securing loans and the bank’s leasing services. In response Sackey said, “We are going to encourage our clients to make better use of our networks in the sub region and improve the quality of our services in this district and across the country.” Ends
