President Paul Kagame on Tuesday, October 1, began his three day official visit to Latvia with a tour of the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia, the President's Office announced in a post on X. The Museum of the Occupation of Latvia is a museum and historic educational institution located in Riga, the country’s capital. The latter highlights Latvia’s growing role in efforts to preserve the memory of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and promoting awareness about preventing future genocides, officials say.
