Rwandans will now be able go to Kazakhstan without visa requirements following a visa waiver agreement signed on Wednesday, September 25. The agreement on visa exemption for citizens of both countries was signed by Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier Nduhungirehe, and Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. In June 2023, Kazakhstan and Rwanda discussed opportunities for trade, economic and investment cooperation. ALSO READ: Ambassador Kimonyo presents credentials to Vietnamese president According to information from Rwanda’s Embassy in Türkiye, which is also accredited to Kazakhstan, consultations between the two countries continue and several bilateral agreements and Memorandum of Understanding were being discussed at the embassy and ministerial levels with the objective to create legal frameworks for cooperation in various matters both in public and private sectors.
