The 2022/23 Rwanda national football league will start on August 19, according to fixtures released by the local football governing body (Ferwafa) on Monday. Champions APR will start their campaign against Musanze at Kigali stadium on the opening day, at 6pm CAT, with last seasons runners-up SC Kiyovu taking on Bugesera FC at Nyamata Stadium. Peace Cup holders AS Kigali will start their new season with a clash against Etincelles, while Police FC will visit Sunrise on the same day. Meanwhile, the Super Cup match pitting league champions, APR, and Peace Cup winners, AS Kigali, will be played on August 14. Rwandas topflight league comprises 16 clubs; APR, Rayon Sports, Police, SC Kiyovu, Marines, Bugesera, Espoir, Mukura, Etincelles, AS Kigali, Gasogi United, Gorilla, Sunrise, Musanze, Rutsiro and Rwamagana City.
