The U-20 and U-18 national teams on Tuesday, 26 entered residential training in preparation for the upcoming male junior qualifiers slated for next month. Under the stewardship of Antoine Ntabangayimana and Anaclet Bagirishya respectively, the teams are currently camping in Sovu, Huye district and training will be held at the Rwanda premises. This year’s U-20 African Men’s Handball tournament kicks off on the 20th and ends on the 27th of August, while the U-18 juniors commence on August 30 through September 6. According to the team’ management, both games will be hosted at the BK arena. Nine teams including Rwanda are expected to contest in both categories. For U-20 teams are categorized in two groups where Rwanda is placed in Group A alongside Tunisia, Morocco, Angola and the Central African Republic. Group B consists of Egypt, Algeria, Congo Brazzaville and Libya. Meanwhile, in the junior category of U-18, Group A includes Morocco, Congo Brazzaville, Libya and Uganda and group B consists of Rwanda, Egypt, Algeria, Madagascar and Burundi.
