The Caf women Champions League qualifiers draw has left AS Kigali in Group A alongside Warrior Queens of Zanzibar, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and Fofila PF of Burundi. The draw was held in Dar es Salaam, On Wednesday, July 20, 2022 The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations [CECAFA] has informed CAF that eight teams have qualified for the second round and are currently divided into two groups. AS Kigali is going to participate in this tournament for the first time and will start their qualification journey against Warrior Queens. The tournament which will also be qualifiers for the CAF Women’s Champions League 2022 will take place from July 28th to August 10th in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The defending champions Vihiga Queens FC will miss out because Kenya is serving a FIFA suspension. Recently, CAF announced that Morocco will host the TotalEnergies Women’s Champions League 2022. South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns lifted the inaugural trophy last year when the event was held in Cairo, Egypt.
