The national men’s beach volleyball team are stepping up preparations for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. The 12-day beach volleyball Commonwealth showpiece begins on July 28 and runs until August 8. Since last week, Head coach Christopher Mudahinyuka has been putting men through their places as they continue intensive training sessions at Lake Kivu Beach in Rubavu District. “The preparations are going well and our only target is to win all games in our Group,” Mudahinyuka said. Meanwhile, Ntagengwa said he and his teammates are ready for the challenge in Birmingham. “We are fit, and mentally ready for the tough mission in Birmingham,” Olivier Ntagengwa said. Players who are in camp are; Olivier Ntagengwa, Venuste Ngatsinzi, Fils Habanzitwari, Prince Kanamugire, Manuel Mugisha and Mandera Nzirimo. Group A: Canada, Gambia, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Sri Lanka Group B: Australia, Rwanda, South Africa and Maldives Group C: England, New Zealand, Cyprus and Tuvalu
