‘Bring Pulse to your Life’, a song by female musician Ariel Wayz has won the music competition organised by local brewer SKOL. The competition has been there for the past 15 weeks as the brewer was looking for a song that would become the anthem of its new beverage ‘SKOL Pulse’. Songs from the likes of Gabiro Guitar and Ish Kevin ft Memo were among Ariel Wayz’s toughest contenders for the prize but it was the latter’s song that was announced the winner and was declared official anthem of SKOL Pulse which has been on the market since December 2021. The song won the competition after it garnered the highest number of votes with over 10, 000 votes in a voting process held via www.skolpulse.rw and other promotional activities organised by the brewer over the past few weeks. “I am so excited [to win the competition]. I couldn’t have achieved this without the support of my music fans who voted for my song. They have been there for me throughout my music journey and I believe the best is yet to come,” the singer said after her song was announced winner. After SKOL Pulse music competition, SKOL has now shifted their focus on another music competition for budding young artistes aspiring to become future music stars, as part of giving them a platform to showcase their talent in music. Participants will be performing their own verse in one beat produced by producer Davydenko and the contestant with a winning track will be rewarded to trip to Lagos, Nigeria, where they will record the song in one of the most popular recording studios that had previously recorded songs of Nigeria’s famous musician like Wiz Kid and Davido among others. The terms and conditions about the competition will be communicated via SKOL’s Facebook page @skolpulserwanda and via www.skolpulse.rw).
