CANADA-BASED RWANDAN gospel musician Gentil Misigaro has unveiled an updated schedule for his ongoing world music tour with Europe now being his next tour destination. It is through the tour, dubbed ‘Amashimwe World Tour Concerts’, that the singer is currently dedicating his time to promote his third album ‘Amashimwe’ which he looks to present to his music supporters in different parts of the globe. The album comprises eight songs including ‘Ingoma Yawe,’ ‘Antsindira Intambara,’ ‘Yesu Araryoshe,’ ‘Tumbira Yesu’ and his brand new song ‘Nzagutegereza,’ among others. The singer resumes the tour to Europe after successful concerts in Canada and the United States, having previously done similar concerts in Maine, a city in Portland, Dayton in Ohio and some cities in Canada including Ottawa and Calgary. According to a tour schedule released last week, Misigaro has concerts in Hanover, Germany from July 29-31, before flying to Manchester, United Kingdom where he will perform on August 6. He will conclude his European tour in Brussels, Belgium on August 14, and then return to the United States to entertain gospel enthusiasts in Kentucky from August 20-21 and Phoenix in Arizona on October 2. Later on, he will announce new countries where he will shift the tour with his target being to ensure that his album reaches his people worldwide. “My world tour is not just about Europe because I’ve had a similar tour in the United States while I also plan to take it to Australia and possibly some countries in Africa before the end of this year,” Misigaro told The New Times. Misigaro’s new album features his wife Rhoda Mugiraneza with whom they wrote different songs together including his new song ‘Nzagutegereza.’ The singer told The New Times that seeing his wife joining music was something that he welcomed with both hands and described her contribution to his current music as ‘incredible’. With her, Misigaro only hopes for the best in music for both of them. “She has been so supportive of my ministry and this time she started writing songs. We wrote my new song together and, with the other songs that I am currently doing, she helps me a lot in editing and shares new ideas with me and I am grateful for what she contributes to my music so far,” he said. Misigaro in June confirmed that he would travel to Kigali with his cousin Adrien where they were expected to perform before gospel music supporters in Rwanda during the ‘Each One Reach One’ concert a fortnight ago but, to the surprise of many, he cancelled his performance. Some linked his performance cancellation in Kigali to his ongoing preparations for his world tour in Europe but the singer insisted he only could not make it in Kigali because of what he described as personal work-related reasons. “It was not because of my European World tour, it was just something urgent that I had no control over. It was a work-related matter that could not allow me to leave the country,” he explained.
