APR FC will be looking to triumph over Egyptian giants Pyramids FC and break new ground by qualifying for the CAF Champions League group stages for the first time. The Rwanda Premier League champions are well aware of the challenge ahead, as they were eliminated by Pyramids in last year’s qualifiers in a humbling 6-1 aggregate defeat. In a media interview, APR FC’s head coach Darko Novic admitted that he expects a tough game against Pyramids, but noted that APR has prepared for it. “We are committed to giving our best. Our recent form, both in competitive and friendly matches, has been encouraging and indicates our readiness to perform well, he said.
