Rwandan-British choreographer Sherrie Silver is in Rwanda, and is expected to perform in the anticipated Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) that is slated for June 20-26. “Yes I’m in Rwanda, I’m performing and also speaking” Silver told The New Times. The dancer is not only in Rwanda for CHOGM but also for her other personal activities and conferences. On Thursday, June 16, she participated in her charity works, where she donated different items like pens, books, water bottles, calculators and pencils, at Root Foundation Children’s Center in Batsinda, Kigali. She will also perform in another conference called ‘Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases conference’ which will take place on June 23. Silver was last in Rwanda in February, where she was engaged in charity events. She also started an initiative called ‘Feed the Hungry Initiative’ which aims at providing balanced diet to under privileged Africans, and also got time to visit the mountain gorillas and other touristic sites across Rwanda.
