Gospel music star Israel Mbonyi has announced that he will have a world tour prior to launching his new album dubbed “Icyambu”. The tour will see him headline performances at concerts in different countries around the world starting from a big opening concert in Rwanda, then Canada, Australia, Europe and Africa. Real name Israel Mbonyicyambu, Mbonyi’s tour comes after an eight-day trip in Jerusalem in April that aimed to spur the spiritual connection of pilgrims by linking them to the place believed to be the origin of Christianity. The music tour is, according to the singer, good timing because he will be launching his album and promote his ministry’s mission around the world. After announcing his plans for a World music tour, the singer told Weekender that the live tour is a great time to connect with his fans again. “My fans should expect a big live show and they will have enough time to listen to my songs. During the concert we will record DVDs that will be shared with people after the concerts. I invite everyone who loves my music as well as all gospel music to come,” says Mbonyi. According to the singer, the tour will kick off August 14 2022 to 2023 as he looks forward to headlining concerts in different continents. Mbonyi is mostly known for having sold-out concerts in Rwanda and for making hit after hit since starting his career. The artiste’s songs are among the most played by religious and non-religious people alike since the time he started. His hit tracks include ‘Mbwira’, ‘Karame’, ‘Nzaririmba’, ‘Urwandiko’, ‘Baho’ and ‘imuhira’ among many others. He won best album twice at the Maranatha Awards Eastern Africa.
