The victims of the road accident that occurred on September 9, in in Kicukiro Sector, Kicukiro District, have started to be discharged from hospitals after receiving successful treatment for their injuries. At least three people lost their lives and others were injured in a road accident involving a Fuso truck and two taxi motorcycles in Kicukiro in the evening of Monday, September 9, the Police have said. The accident occurred around 7PM in Kicukiro Cell, Kicukiro Sector, near church Zion Temple. Lt Col Dr Ernest Munyemana, the Director General of Kibagabaga Hospital, said, “We received two patients, one man and one woman, treated them, and they were discharged last night. There was no hospitalization required.” The other two victims, two men aged 20 and 40, are being treated at Masaka Hospital but are not in critical condition. “If their injuries had been more serious, they would have been transferred to a specialized hospital. One of them underwent an X-ray, which showed no significant injury, and is likely to be discharged soon. The other is awaiting further scans but is also stable,” officials at Masaka Hospital confirmed.
