A delegation of 20 faculty members and student officers from Bangladesh National Defence College led by Brig Gen Sazedul Islam visited Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) headquarters on Tuesday, September 10. ALSO READ: PHOTOS: RDF’s Gen Muganga in Bangladesh for working visit The group was received by RDF Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Mubarakh Muganga, who emphasized the strong cooperation between the two countries' armed forces. We have all that a student wishes to have. The bad days are gone, but of course, they left a mark; it’s a revolution, and it doesn’t stop,” Muganga said, highlighting the RDF's transformation journey. The delegation also received briefings on RDF's progress and regional security from RDF spokesperson Brig Gen Ronald Rwivanga and Col Stanislas Gashugi. Brig Gen Sazedul Islam expressed his appreciation for Rwanda’s advancements, saying, “We are here to share professional military education. Rwanda is moving in the right direction.” As part of a week-long study tour, the delegation also paid tribute to victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi at Kigali Genocide Memorial and visited the Campaign Against Genocide Museum. Their itinerary includes visits to various Previous RDF institutions including the Command and Staff College in Nyakinama. In June, Gen Muganga undertook a three-day working visit to Bangladesh at the invitation of the Bangladesh Army's Chief of Staff. The visit, held from June 12 to 15, aimed at strengthening military cooperation between the two nations, according to the RDF.
