Rwanda international Patrick Sibomana has joined Libyan top tier side Alittihad Misurata SC on a two-year deal. The 29-year old forward, who was released by Kenyan giants Gor Mahia in August, completed the move on Monday afternoon after passing a medical at the club. Also Read: Sibomana set to join SC Kiyovu on two-year deal For months, he has been linked with a move to SC Kiyovu, Rayon Sports and Police after parting ways with Gor Mahia at the end of the season. He is the latest Rwandan player to join the Libyan league which is also currently home to countryman Thierry Manzi who currently plies his trade with Al Ahli Tripoli. Manzi helped the club to win the title during the 2023/24 Libyan Premier League season while Sibomana’s new side Alittihad Misurata SC finished in 5th place. Sibomana started his career at defunct Rwandan club Isonga FC and has also gone on to play for Mukura Victory Sports, and Police FC. At international football, the forward rose through the ranks from the U17, U20 and U23 national teams before making his maiden appearance for senior Amavubi in 2013.
