The military side defeated second division side Musanze 4-0 to reach the quarter-finals on a 10-2 goal aggregate. Emmanuel Sebanani scored a brace while Fuadi Ndayisenga and Kilua Kimalwa netting the other two. Last year’s losing finalist, Atraco also enjoyed an easy passage to the last eight after a 3-0 over another second division club Zebres in Kinihira. Midfielder Joseph Kabagambe and fullback Godfrey Kateregga scored the first and second goals before Andre Lomami sealed the win with the third goal. Atraco will face Police in the next round. Police played a goalless draw in the second leg against Kibuye and qualified with a 1-0 goal aggregate. Rayon Sport will face Electrogaz in the quarter-finals. Electrogaz knocked out Marines on 2-1 goal aggregate while the Blues got a bye after their would-be opponents were banned from the competition. Kiyovu managed a 1-0 away to Military and advance to the next round on 7-0 aggregates to set up a clash with old rivals Mukura, who ejected La Jeunesse with a 3-1 goal aggregate. The first leg of the MTN Peace Cup quarter-finals will be played on May 12. The winner of the MTN sponsored competition whose final will be played on July 4 will walk with Frw10 millions. Ends
