Patriots basketball club have announced the return of Rwanda international Prince Ibeh ahead of betPawa playoffs which tip off on Friday, August 30. He joins the club he previously represented during the inaugural season of the Basketball League in 2021 where, in six games played, he averaged 7.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game. Born to Nigerian parents in the United Kingdom and raised in the United States, Ibeh holds British citizenship, but has also acquired Rwandan citizenship. The 30-year-old center represented Rwanda in international basketball, and was part of the roster that played the 2021 African Basketball Championship (Afrobasket) finals in Kigali. In 2024, he joined El Calor de Cancún, an expansion team in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional. He also played for APR during the 2023 Basketball League playoffs, helping the team to win the championship. The Patriots will rub shoulders with Kepler in Game 1 of betPawa semi-finals Playoffs on Friday, August 30, while APR will be up against REG. both games will take place at the refurbished Petit Stade Indoor facility.
