Rwandan representative, Gisagara volleyball club have advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2022 African Club Championship following an effortless win over Kenya’s Equity Bank in Group D on Monday evening. Gisagara claimed the highly contested match after a 3-1 win (25-18,22-25,25-17 and 25-18) to register their second victory in the competition, enough to secure a spot into the last eight round with a game to spare. On Sunday night, the Southern Province-based side secured their opening win as they powered past Port Douala varsity side in four sets 25-18, 20-25,25-21 and 31-29, at Hawaria stadium in Tunis. Gisagara returns to action against Nigeria Custom Services in the last game of Group D on Wednesday. Gisagara is in Group D alongside Port Douala (Cameroun), Equity Bank (Kenya) and Nigeria Custom Services (Nigeria).
