fter winning hearts of Rwandan music lovers, Trappish singer, Ish Kevin, is taking his sound to Europe in his first tour slated for June 11. The Europe Tour follows the release of Ish Kevin’s second mixtape ‘Trappish 2’ which is in the top five trending albums on Spotify in Rwanda at the moment. The fast rising rapper confirmed the news to this publication on Wednesday, May 4, and promised massive performances in all the cities that will see the tour. The tour, according to Ish Kevin, will kick off in Warsaw- Poland on June 11, and progress to other countries including Finland, Belgium and Germany. “Poland and Finland are already confirmed. We are setting dates for more cities,” Ish Kevin said, adding that, “we are still in talks with other event promoters in different countries, but we are taking this sound as far as possible”. After the Europe Tour, the artiste who is behind hits like ‘Babahungu’, ‘Amakosi’, and No cap, revealed that he is considering to also tour other continents like USA and Australia. Ish Kevin promised that, even before the performances in Europe, he is cooking something for local fans, “I’m dropping Clout’s video this weekend,” he said. ‘Clout’ is track-three on Trappish mixtape 2 which features Ycee, one of the leading rappers in Africa who contributed in the boosting of the song. It will be Ish Kevin’s first time performing his recently released mixtape to a big number of music lovers since the cancellation of his ‘Drunk and Love’ party that was scheduled to take place in March. The ‘Waki Waki’ hit maker will be the second upcoming artiste to tour Europe after Kivumbi King who thrilled the Rwandan community in Poland last weekend. Ish Kevin rose to prominence after introducing UK drill in Rwanda and later formed a group of the drillers titled Trappish movement which is taking Rwandan music to greater heights. He was later ranked among the top 12 best African rappers in 2021 by the Native Mag and his single no cap ranked as the seventh hard drill song worldwide.
