Love and Drama, the first reality show in Rwandan entertainment industry will be hosting different celebrities and their lives. The show, produced by Zaba Missed Call, a comedian and actor, will be airing on the website of Zana talent. The first episode was premiered Thursday night. To watch this reality show one must pay Rwf5, 000 for all the 10 episodes that make up season 1. The news about this reality show began to circulate after one of the celebrities starring in the show, Lynda Nkunsi, decided to leave the Miss Rwanda 2022 boot camp “due to personal and family reasons” as stated in the beauty pageants’ announcement. Comedian Zaba began posting different pictures of him and Lynda as well Clemence Umukundwa, a Miss Rwanda 2019 contestant, who also reached the final stage of the competition. There had been rumors of the two girls dating Zaba, which he says the truth will be found in this reality show. His relationship with them had different media houses talk about them and made people want to know what really is happening and who exactly he is dating. Even though these three are the only celebrities revealed to be in this reality show, there are many other actors who will be part of it and will be revealed after their payment process has been completed. Zaba told this publication that he wanted to bring something that people love but don’t really have in the entertainment industry in Rwanda. “After observing how the new generation has been making a great change and taking over lately in music or other sectors, I looked for something that is unique and entertaining,” he said. He declared that this reality TV show talks mostly about their lives as well as that of young people today. It will be about their relationships behind doors including betrayal, life of a celebrity just to mention a few. He noted that the challenges so far has been people not being used to watching TV shows on websites which is a bit tricky for some. “There are many people who can’t afford 5,000 to be able to watch the TV show; however they can contribute money as a group and watch together,” he said.
