Kiyovu’s in-form midfielders Abedi Bigirimana and Ismail Nshimirimana are wanted by Tanzania’s top flight club Yanga Africans. The Tanzanian side is looking to reinforce their squad ahead of next season’s African club competitions and has been keeping a close eye on the Burundians who have been key to the Green Baggies’ continued title charge in the Rwanda premier league. Media reports in Tanzania and Burundi indicate that Yanga’s scouts are in Kigali and reportedly attended Kiyovu’s training sessions on Thursday where the Burundians were training together with the rest of the squad at Mumena Stadium preparing for Friday’s league clash with Gasogi United at Kigali Stadium. Times Sport understands that an agreement between Bigirimana, who is so far regarded as one of the league’s best players of the season, and Yanga is being finalized so he can play for the club next season. Meanwhile, Nshimirimana could follow his counterpart with the club looking forward to seeing them form a perfect partnership in midfield as has been the case at Kiyovu. Each of the players have a year remaining on their contract.
