THE AFRO East Carnival tour organised by renowned Tanzanian singer, Harmonize, is expected to come to Kigali this year on June 18. The former Wasafi Records member confirmed the development on all his social media platforms with a flyer that indicated the cities which will host the concert, including Kigali. “God is good, we are back on the road. Afro East carnival is back, register now and get the tickets,” Harmonizer tweeted on Tuesday, March 29. Afro East Carnival will kick off in Nairobi on April 30 and proceed to other cities including London, Bujumbura, Mombasa, and Dar Es Salaam. Rwandan artistes who will headline the show haven’t been communicated yet but the bongo flava superstar is expected to perform with Bruce Melodie whom they have a hit together dubbed ‘Totally Crazy’. The first leg of Afro East Carnival took place in Tanzania between March 4-5 featuring East Africa’s biggest stars. Harmonize last performed in Rwanda in 2018, under ‘The Mane’, a music house, and he also recorded a song with local female singer Marina. Harmonize, real name Rajab Abdul Kahali, is a popular name not only in Tanzania but the entire Africa. His genre of songs is a mixture of afro-pop and bongo flava. The star now has his own label dubbed Konde Music Worldwide Label, where he has signed budding talent Ibraah and is yet to sign even more talents. He is one of the musicians who were brought up under Diamond Platnumz’ Wasafi Records (WCB) and later left the label. The award-winning Bbongo artiste came to the limelight when he collaborated with Diamond Platnumz on the song “Bado”.
