Rwanda has been drawn in the same group with Sierra Leone and Cameroon in the Africa T20 female cricket tournament which kicks off in Nigeria on Saturday March 26, 2022. Rwanda is the highest-ranked team among the six nations who will be vying for the converted trophy and they will be hoping to make another giant stride by lifting the cup. The Rwandan team will open their account against Cameroon on the opening day of the competition before facing Sierra Leone in the last group game. The tournament will be played at the ultra-modern Tafawa Balewa cricket oval in Lagos from March 26th to April 4. According to Nigerian cricket analyst Ijeoma Okigbo, Rwanda is a team to watch at the tournament as they are currently flying high in the sport. Rwanda is enjoying a great Bond and their womens team is on top form. But again,I see Cameroon coming to the event to show how far they have improved from their last dismal show in Botswana at the Womens T20 World Cup qualifier. I even think they may be one of the teams to watch out for at the event. Okigbo told the Nigerian Guardian. The other Group also has Nigeria, Ghana and Gambia who will battle for supremacy in the competition. Both Rwanda and Nigeria were seeded in their respective groups.
