Nigerian musician Ycee has promised his Kigali music supporters an amazing show when he performs tonights Love Drink & Party concert at Hotel Villa Portofino. The singer, born Oludemilade Martin Alejo, arrived in Kigali on Wednesday, March 16, three days before his performance. He will share the same stage as local artistes Ish Kevin and Gabiro Guitar. With the duo, Ycee promised to give his best during his performance to entertain his music lovers. I must give special thanks to Gabiro and Ish Kevin and their team. In ‘Love Drunk Party we are going to deliver the most amazing show ever,” the singer told journalists in a press briefing on Friday, March 18. Ycee is not the first, and probably not the last, Nigerian musician to perform in Rwanda but his performance in the country, he said, has always been part of his dreams in his music career. “It is such a pleasure to be here in Rwanda for the first time. Finally, I am here. It has been my dream which came true, he said. Ycees time in Kigali could be more than just Saturdays performance after he revealed his plans to work with Rwandan musicians on his to-do-list, with Ish Kevin the latest artiste with whom he looks forward to working on a music project. As of now, I have a project with Ish Kevin which will be on his coming soon album. We are soon shooting the video before I go back to Nigeria, he told The New Times, adding that he also looks forward to working with other local artistes. According to organisers, Ycees latest EP ‘Love Drunk, Party’ was named after the concert he is having in Kigali as part of helping him to promote it in Rwanda.
