The 70 contestants who passed the provincial auditions of Miss Rwanda 2022 will be reduced to 20 who will head to the boot camp during the much-anticipated pre-selection exercise slated for Saturday, February 26, at PSF Expo grounds, Gikondo. Kigali records the highest representation prior to the pre-selection with 29 contestants, followed by Eastern Province which has 14 representatives while each of Northern, Western and Southern Provinces nine apiece. Contestants have been doing media tours during the past two weeks while mobilizing for votes from the public during a voting exercises which has been running since February 16. The two contestants with the highest votes will make it to the boot camp while each contestant will get a share of 20% of the money obtained from their public votes. The money will assist in their project implementation. As it stands, Kelia Ruzindana leads the online voting charts while Divine Muheto Nshuti and Sabine Mutabazi Isingizwe complete the top three. The voting results, however, are subject to change at any time as the public continue to cast their votes until the jury goes for final deliberations after the Q&A session for today’s preselection. Voting is ongoing via USSD code method (dial *544*1* contestant’s number#) and online via https://igihe.com/miss-rwanda. Unlike the provincial auditions, preselection is open to the public at Rwf 10 000 and 20 000 for regulars and VIPs respectively.
